“No such interface” error when launching Control Panel or Explorer after migration with WinWin

This is a known issues caused by migration of incompatible versions of Internet Explorer.

Solution 1

  1. If running on 64 bit Windows:
    1. Download http://www.zinstall.com/sto/tools/ie8-rereg/ie8-rereg.32on64.cmd
    2. Right click on ie8-rereg.32on64.cmd and select “Run As Administrator”
    3. Download http://www.zinstall.com/sto/tools/ie8-rereg/ie8-rereg.64on64.cmd
    4. Right click on ie8-rereg.64on64.cmd and select “Run As Administrator”
  2. If running on 32 bit Windows:
    1. Download http://www.zinstall.com/sto/tools/ie8-rereg/ie8-rereg.cmd
    2. Right click on ie8-rereg.cmd and select “Run As Administrator”
  3. Restart your computer.
